Stafford Township, NJ - On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at approximately 11:00 AM, the Stafford Township Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Route 72 and Mermaid Drive on 42 year old Heather Mcmillian of Marine Street in Waretown. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, the DEU developed reasonable suspicion that Mcmillian was possessing a controlled dangerous substance. In addition, Detective Zach Wiatrowski observed a quantity of suspected heroin on Mcmillian’s person. 

As a result detectives conducted a search of Mcmilliam’s person which revealed a quantity of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.  Ultimately, Mcmilliam was charged with 2C:35-10A(1) possession of heroin (3rd degree crime). 

After being processed at Stafford Township Police Department, Mcmillian was issued on a complaint summons and released with a future court appearance scheduled at Ocean County Superior Court.
