Stafford Township, NJ – On May 1, 2025, the Stafford Township Detective Bureau concluded a stolen debit card investigation, which led to the arrest of Gerson A. Falette (26 years old of Butterfly Court in Manahawkin, NJ). During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Falette had stolen the aforementioned debit card information from the victim on April 19, 2025 which was later used to purchase assorted items from multiple businesses within Barnegat Township, NJ and Stafford Township, NJ.
Falette responded to police headquarters to turn himself in and was placed under arrest. He faces the following charges:
Three counts Disorderly Persons Theft by Unlawful Taking (N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A)
One count 4th Degree Criminal Attempt (N.J.S.A 2C:5-1A(1) / (N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A)
One count 4th Degree Credit Card Theft (N.J.S.A 2C:21-6C(2)
One count 3rd Degree Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (N.J.S.A 2C:21-6H)
Falette was released with a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Detective Zac Halliday was the arresting officer.
