Arrest Made in OA Convenience Store Robbery Investigation

Stafford Township, NJ – June 19, 2024 – Following an investigation conducted by the Stafford Township Police Detective Bureau, in conjunction with the New Jersey State Police, Tuckerton Barracks Detective Bureau, Nicholas L. Santiago, age 38 of Barnegat, NJ, was identified as the suspect in the OA Convenience robbery that occurred on May 27, 2024. Additionally, Santiago was identified as the suspect in an additional robbery that occurred in New Gretna, NJ.  

On June 18, 2024, Santiago was arrested at his residence and subsequently transported to the Burlington County Jail where he awaits extradition to Ocean County Jail.  

Santiago was charged with 2nd Degree Robbery in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1A(2), Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4D, and 3rd Degree Theft in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3A.  Detective John Reed was the lead investigator.  See previous release from June 5th for details regarding the initial incident.
