Stafford Township, NJ - On Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at approximately 5 PM, the Stafford Township Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a pedestrian stop on 36-year-old Michael Perrottet of West Industrial Boulevard in Bridgeton, New Jersey, as he exited the 559 Transit Bus in the area of Route 9 and McKinley Avenue. Prior to the pedestrian stop, the DEU developed probable cause that Perrottet was possessing fentanyl and crack/cocaine and a search of Perrottet’s person confirmed this.
Ultimately, Perrottet was charged with 2C:35-5B(3) Possession With The Intent To Distribute Less Than ½ Ounce Of Crack/Cocaine, 2C:35-5B(5) Possession With The Intent To Distribute Less Than ½ Ounce Of Fentanyl, 2C:35-10A(1) Possession Of Crack/Cocaine, 2C:35-10A(1) Possession Of Fentanyl, 2C:5-2A(1) Conspiracy To Distribute Crack/Cocaine (4th degree crime), and 2C:5-2A(1) Conspiracy To Distribute Fentanyl.
After being processed at Stafford Township Police Department, Perrottet was transported to Ocean County Jail awaiting a detention hearing by the Ocean County Superior Court.
