Stafford Township, NJ – On September 18, 2025, the Stafford Township Detective Bureau concluded a two-month long jewelry theft investigation assisted by the Long Beach Township Police Department and Ocean Township (Waretown) Police Department, which led to the arrest of Katelynn Stanfield (33 years old of Chestnut Street in Waretown, NJ). During the course of the follow-up investigation, the Detective Bureau determined that Stanfield stole approximately $ 6,000 of assorted jewelry from a residence in Stafford Township while employed as a residential cleaner.
Stanfield was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Theft by Unlawful Taking (N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A) and 3rd Degree Fencing-Dealing in Stolen Property (N.J.S.A 2C:20-7.1B(1). She was released with a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Detective Zac Halliday was the arresting officer.
