Stafford Township, NJ – On September 8, 2025, at approximately 20:53 hours, Edward J. Meinwieser (42 years old of Hudson Parkway in Whiting, NJ) was placed under arrest on the strength of a Stafford Township warrant stemming from a car burglary and theft investigation. The warrant was issued following an investigation in which Meinwieser burglarized a vehicle on Patty Joe Lane in Manahawkin on September 4th, stealing cash and debit cards, which were later used to make fraudulent purchases at Home Depot in Manahawkin.
Meinwieser was transported to Stafford Township Police Headquarters, processed, and lodged in the Ocean County Jail. He was charged with Theft 2C:20-3a, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle 2C:18-2a(1), Credit Card Theft 2C:21-6c(1), and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card 2C:21-6h. Ptl. Austin S. Rauch was the investigating officer.
