Stafford Township, NJ - On September 1, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Stafford Township Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Lighthouse Drive and Buccaneer Lane.

The investigation revealed that Jayden Rodriguez (20 years old of Herkimer Court in Barnegat) was attempting to enter the roadway when he pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle operated by Sindy Padilla (21 years old).  As a result of the collision, Padilla sustained an arm injury and was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center for further treatment.  Rodriguez and his passenger, Nicholas Todisco (20 years old), were treated on scene by EMS personnel for minor injuries and declined transportation to the hospital.

Rodriguez was issued a traffic summons for Careless Driving 39:4-97.  The roadway was closed for approximately 30 minutes while emergency crews operated and traffic was temporarily detoured.
