Stafford Township, NJ – June 9, 2024 – At approximately 10:45 p.m., Stafford Township Police Officer Nicholas Racanelli witnessed a motorcycle operator tailgating his patrol vehicle on Route 9 Southbound near Beachview Avenue. The operator, later identified as 23-year-old Robert Killmer of Barnegat, NJ, then passed the officer at a high rate of speed while doing a “wheelie” and making some hand gestures. Officer Racanelli advised officers in the area to be on the lookout for the motorcycle. Moments later, Officer Adam Sherer located the motorcycle on West Bay Avenue driving recklessly and attempted to make a motor vehicle stop which was unsuccessful.
