Stafford Township, NJ - On Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at approximately 10PM, the Stafford Township Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a narcotics investigation in the area of Grassy Hollow Road involving 34 year old Caitlin Eichhorn of Steamer Avenue in Manahawkin. During the course of the narcotics investigation, the DEU developed reasonable suspicion that Eichhorn was possessing a controlled dangerous substance inside her vehicle. As a result, Detective Zach Wiatrowski deployed his narcotic K-9 partner, Venus to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle. During the exterior sniff, K-9 Venus gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics odor. 

Eichhorn was released from the scene and her vehicle was seized pending the application of a court authorized search warrant. 

On August 29th, 2025, the DEU applied for and was granted a court authorized search warrant for Eichhorn’s vehicle. The DEU executed the court authorized search warrant and recovered quantities of suspected methamphetamine, suspected steroids, and drug paraphernalia.

A warrant was generated for Eichhorn’s arrest for 2C:35-10A(1) possession of  methamphetamine (3rd degree crime), 2C:35-10A(1) possession of steroids (3rd degree crime), 2C:35-10A(1) possession of a controlled dangerous substance (3rd degree crime), 2C:36-2A possession of drug paraphernalia (disorderly persons offense), and 2C:35-10C failure to give controlled dangerous substance to police (disorderly persons offense). 

On August 31st, 2025, Eichhorn was arrested by Stafford Township Police Department for the charges that were generated on a warrant on August 29th, 2025. Eicchorn was processed at Stafford Township Police Department and transported to Ocean County Jail awaiting a detention hearing by the Ocean County Superior Court.
