Stafford Township, NJ - On Friday, April 18th, 2025 the Stafford Township Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded a narcotics investigation, which led to the arrest of 60 year old David T. Giunta of Marion Avenue in Berlin, NJ. Prior to Giunta’s arrest the investigation led to the issuance of a vehicle search warrant and a warrant for David T. Giunta.
As a result of the search warrants Giunta was found to be possession of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, alprazolam, drug paraphernalia, and substantial amount of U.S. currency. In addition, Giunta’s vehicle was seized pending forfeiture.
Ultimately, Giunta was charged with 2C:35-7.1A possession/distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of certain public property (2nd degree crime), 2C:35-5b(9)(A) possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (2nd degree crime), 2C:35-5B(3) possession with the intent to distribute cocaine (3rd degree crime), 2C:35-10(1) possession of methamphetamine (3rd degree crime), 2C:35-10(1) possession of cocaine (3rd degree crime), 2C:35-10(1) possession of alprazolam (3rd degree crime) and 2C:36:-2a drug paraphernalia (disorderly persons offense). After being processed at Stafford Township Police Department, Giunta was transported to Ocean County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
