Stafford Township, NJ – On February 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM, an employee at The Mainland contacted the Stafford Police to advise of a subject, Ryan Wernick (28 years old of Water Street in Toms River, NJ), who had previous been advised by police that he was not permitted on the property, had returned.  Several hours later officers located Wernick nearby on Grassy Hollow Road and investigation led to his arrest.  He was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.  Wernick was transported to police headquarters, charged with Defiant Trespassing 2C:18-3B and Possession of Methamphetamine 2C:35-10(a)1 on a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court, and released.
