Stafford Township, NJ - On October 16th, 2024 at approximately 1:00 AM, a resident on Mizzen Avenue reported a suspicious person in his driveway, seen on his security camera. Patrol units canvassed the area and quickly located a male walking on the street resembling the description provided by the caller. Further investigation led to the arrest of 47 year old Mark Paturzzio of Neptune Drive, Manahawkin, for attempted burglary of the caller's vehicle. Paturzzio was found to be in possession of assorted items and money from other car burglaries he committed that night in the Ocean Acres area. He was charged with two counts of Burglary (2C:18-2A(1)) and the investigation is ongoing. The charges were placed on a warrant and he was lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a court appearance scheduled by the Ocean County Superior Court. Patrolman Nick Racanelli was the arresting officer.
