Bulk, Brush, Leaves, & Metal Collection

Bulk Trash Collection

Please have all items to be picked up at the curb by 6 a.m. Monday morning of your designated week.  The trucks go up and down every street in the zone only once during the week. 

Bulk trash (mattress, box spring, furniture, plastic toys etc. must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the Monday morning of the collection week assigned to each zone.


Be sure to separate bulk items from recyclable items left at the curb for collection.


Stafford Township does not collect carpeting/padding at the curb, kitchen cabinets, boats (cut up or otherwise), rock, concrete, tile, soil, construction debris or propane tanks.


Additionally “The Electronic Waste Management Act” has banned the disposal of “covered electronic devices” which include televisions, computers, monitors and portable/laptop computers. Please call the Southern Ocean County Recycling Center at 609-978-0913 for proper drop off instruction.


Grass clippings, hay and garden debris are to be bagged and placed into the automated trash container for normal trash collection.


Zones


Zone 1 - First Monday of Each Month


Beach Haven West, Village Harbor, Colony Lakes, Cedar Bonnet Island, Mallard Island and Bayside


Zone 2 - Second Monday of Each Month


Town North and South, Route 9, Cedar Run, Mayetta, Downtown Manahawkin, Perry’s Lake,

The Landings, Stafford Park and Pinecrest Village


Zone 3 - Third Monday of Each Month


Ocean Acres (everything east of and including Nautilus Drive and north of Neptune Road)


Zone 4 - Fourth Monday of Each Month


Remaining Ocean Acres (west of Nautilus Drive, south of and including Neptune Road), Fawn Lakes, Atlantic Hills, Paramount Escapes and Warren Grove


Once a street has been collected, Public Works will not return until the next scheduled zone week.

Place Discarded Items at the Curb the Sunday of Your Zone Week.


Metal Recycling Collection By Zone


Metal recycling must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the Monday morning of the collection week assigned to each zone. Be sure to separate metal from other items intended for collection.


Once a street has been collected, Stafford Township will not return until the next scheduled week for the assigned zone.


Brush, Tree Limbs & Branches


Place at the curb by 6 a.m. the Monday morning on your assigned collection week. Nothing over 4 inches  in diameter and/or 4 foot in length will be collected. No roots. No stumps. They shall be placed in one pile no larger than 10 feet wide by four feet high by eight feet long.



Once a street has been collected, Stafford Township will not return until the next scheduled week for the assigned zone.

*Do not rake leaves onto the street.  Leaves must remain on the property by the curb line.
 *All leaves must be raked and placed in a neat row at the curb the Sunday evening prior to your scheduled zone collection week.

 *Leaf collection months are April, May, June, October, November and December
*Do not place leaves within 10 feet of a storm drain inlet
*Do not mix brush or branches with leaves
 *Once a street has been collected, Public Works will not return the next scheduled zone week
 

The Southern Ocean Recycling Center regulates our leaf collection terms and conditions. Leaves mixed with brush, tree limbs, pine needles and/or cut grass will not be collected.


Leaves may not be left at the Southern Ocean County Recycling Center Resident Drop Off Location.

Once a street has been collected, Public Works will not return until the next scheduled zone week.


Throughout the year, residents may take bagged leaves to the Southern Ocean County Recycling Center on Haywood Road.
