  2. Arbor Day

May 3, 2019, 3:45 PM @ Ocean Acres Community Center

To develop a better understanding of plastics’ impact on our environment, the Stafford Township Environmental Commission developed, as this year’s theme for Arbor Day 2019, “P.I.N.E.S.” Plastic In Nature Endangers Species. Students in our township schools will be asked to participate in a poster, poem and essay contest depicting their understanding of the impact of plastics on our environment and how we can reduce our use of plastics. Awards will be presented to those children who best represent an understanding of this year’s theme in each category. The awards will be presented at the Arbor Day ceremony on May 3rd at the Ocean Acres Community Cntr. Detailed information about the contest will be available at each school and Town Hall. The Environmental Commission is also looking for sponsors for the various awards to be presented to the children. If any business, individual or group would like to sponsor any of the awards, they should contact Mrs. Sillitoe at 609-597-1000x8537
