PUBLIC NOTICE

            TAKE NOTICE that an application for an authorization under CAFRA Individual Permit and Waterfront Development Permit will be submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Resource Protection for the development described below:

APPLICANT: Township of Stafford

PROJECT NAME: Mud City Sanitary Sewer Improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

The Township of Stafford is constructing a new gravity sewer system in Mud City to eliminate reliance on the existing grinder pump and force main system. A new underground pump station will be constructed to convey flow from the new gravity system to the existing Ocean County Utilities Authority force main.

            The complete permit application package can be reviewed at either the Municipal Clerk’s office or by appointment at the Department’s Trenton Office. Either a 30-day public comment period or public hearing will be held on the application in the future. Individuals may request a public hearing on the application within 15 calendar days of the date of receiving this letter. Requests for a public hearing shall be sent to the Department at the address below and shall state the specific nature of the issues to be raised at the hearing:
