Community Gardens

We are very fortunate to have 3 Community Gardens that call Manahawkin home!

Bay Acres Garden (Bay Avenue Community Center) - Lake Manahawkin Garden - Mill Creek Park Garden

The Stafford Township Community Gardens are planned, developed,  worked  and sustained by the community.  The gardens are grown collectively, with everyone, young and old,  working together to manage and maintain these grassroots gardens.   Local community groups such as Stafford Historical society, garden club, boy scouts, girl scouts and civic associations along with the Stafford Township Recreation Department have embraced the conceptual plans offering suggestions and ideas for development of the gardens and brought them to fruition.

The following pages will keep you up to date on the happenings, volunteer opportunities and educational incentives both gardens have to offer. Not only do we grow flowers and vegetables but, community spirit and new friendships are blooming everyday!

Come join us, we would love to have you.
