In our ongoing effort to help deter the spread of Covid 19, Stafford Township has closed all community centers for the period of 30 days beginning March 13, 2020.

The Bay Avenue Community Center, Ocean Acres Community Center and the Jennings Road and Pine Street Recreation Centers will no longer host any of their regularly scheduled activities. Buildings will be professionally cleaned and sanitized. After 30 days have passed the situation will be re-evaluated and a determination will be made for any scheduled reopening.

We also remind residents that all athletic league activities have been suspended for the same 30 day period. Township athletic fields are closed to all leagues for games, practices and any other activities.

The mission of the Stafford Township Recreation Department is to fulfill the recreational needs of the community and to develop a variety of quality programs that fit and address these needs. We offer a full range of programs and events for residents of all ages.

The staff is dedicated to this mission and with the support of Mayor and Council diverse recreational programs and leisure services are offered which enhance the physical, social and cultural growth of all residents. Your recreation department is committed to providing professional leadership and well-supervised age appropriate activities at affordable prices at convenient times and locations.

Summer Programs, Special Events, Senior Programs, and Athletic Associations are just a part of what we do to enhance and improve the quality of life for Stafford residents, while promoting citizen involvement and helping to build a strong sense of community.
