Restore Electric Power

You must print and fill in high-lighted areas fill of Advisor Notice (PDF), Construction Application (PDF) and Electrical Subcode Technical (PDF) forms and mail them or bring them to Township of Stafford, 260 East Bay Avenue, Manahawkin NJ 08050, Attention: Department of Building Inspections.


After we receive your applications, our clerical staff will contact you to schedule a date for the Electrical Inspector to inspect your electrical panels and meter pan sockets for water damage. A sticker will be left at the electrical panel cover.

At the end of the day your approval will be faxed to Atlantic City Power Company to have your power restored in most cases the following day or as the Power Company’s schedule will allow.

Homeowner Availability

Inspections are performed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is your responsibility to unlock the door for the inspection if you cannot wait for the inspector. If you are not present the inspector will lock the door to the best of his ability when the inspection is completed. If you are to hide a key to provide access, please tell the clerical staff when they call you to schedule a day for your inspection.

A fee for this service will be $51, payable to Township of Stafford.
